The Peanut

There are several good reasons to eat peanuts.  The #1 reason why I eat peanuts is the Omega-6 fatty acid amount.  The Omega-6 number is over 4300 mg in 1 ounce, and only 0.8 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids.  This is actually really good news, because if you ever need to balance out your Omega-3 & 6, just eat some peanuts.  Remember, always consult with your physician or nutritionist when introducing new foods. I do not treat, heal or cure diseases, or ailments; it's up to you to decide what works for your body and your body only.     

 

A few healthy benefits and tips below, based on 1 ounce:

* Amino Acid score of 70

* Folate, which helps the body make red blood cells

* Vitamin E, which fights against toxins in the body

* Magnesium, good for strong bones, teeth and cellular repair

* You can purchase peanuts salted, unsalted, shelled or unshelled

 

Peanut allergies are a serious matter, so please check with your physician or nutritionist to determine if it’s o.k. to eat them.
