Nectarine
With so many varieties of fruits in the supermarket today, try not to pass these up because they are packed with a lot of nutrients!
A few healthy benefits and tips below, based on 1 small nectarine:
* Magnesium, helps keep bones strong, makes proteins, and creates energy in the
body
* Phosphorus, maintains acid-base balance
* Copper, supports hemoglobin formation
* Vitamin A is needed for vision, skin and immune system health
In Ohio, it’s hard to find organic nectarines, so I peel the skin off the non-organic ones before eating them. Peeling the skin will not eliminate all chemicals but will “minimize” them, and that's the key for me. I know that I cannot eliminate all chemicals and toxins in my diet, but I will surely try!
