The Kiwi

With natural glucose and fructose, this fruit will surely replenish your low glycogen levels after your workout.  An amazing fruit that really gets overlooked in the supermarket.  One of my all-time favorites!

 

A few healthy benefits and tips below, based on 1 medium kiwi: 

* Vitamin A, helps fight infection and enhances your immunity

* Vitamin C, neutralizes free radicals and lowers LDL' while increasing HDL's 

* Vitamin K, which is good for blood clotting and neutralizing free radicals

* Glycemic load of less than 10, which is good for weight loss

* Low sugars and carbohydrates

* Includes Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids
