How clean is your salad that comes in a bag?
A few years ago, I purchased a bag of organic baby spinach. The day after I ate the salad, I was in the bathroom practically the whole day. I started to do some research on the internet, regarding the quality of lettuce and spinach in a bag. The results were just as I thought. I found articles upon articles on how consumers would get sick after eating bagged lettuce or spinach. As a result of what happened, I will never buy any type of bagged greens again.
Tip for buying loose greens:
* I grab fresh kale or collard greens from the back or bottom of the shelf, which
minimizes other people's hands on them
* I buy organic when I can
* To me, fresh is always best BUT a close second is frozen!!!
