Carrots

The variety of carrots in the supermarket is just plain awesome.  I always buy carrots when I shop.  I eat them plain, cooked, broiled, and raw.    



A few healthy benefits and tips below, based on about 5-8 baby carrots:

* Contains Omega 6 fatty acids 

* Vitamin A, good for vision and fights infections 

* Includes Beta & Alpha Carotenes

* Crunchy, easy to snack on and inexpensive

* A very good anti-inflammatory food

* Beta Carotene neutralized oxidative stress and more importantly free radicals

   which protects and support glowing skin. 

* Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load is low, very important if you're looking to lose

   weight or maintain your current weight

* Low carbohydrates, sugars and fats 



Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load are very important for those who are:

* Diabetic

* Seeking weight loss 

* Maintaining current weight
