Almond Milk

Yummy! Yummy! and more Yumminess!

 

There's a variety of commercial milk choices for vegans, but make sure you read the ingredient label to see what's in your non-dairy almond milk.  I prefer to make mine homemade with a minimal amount of maple sugar and cinnamon, see video below!



A few healthy benefits and tips below, based on 1 cup:

* Vitamin C, protects against viruses and bacteria 

* Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant

* B12, metabolizes proteins

* Iron, assists with muscle function and decreases fatigue

* Zinc, breakdown carbohydrates, proteins and fats

* No sugars, in the unsweetened kind

* Low carbohydrates

* Taste incredible, to me at least

* Always available and fresh at our local supermarket 

* Great for lactose intolerant people

* Longer shelf life than regular milk

* Non-GMO, which I really love!
